What If The Bees Run-Out?

Bees are the greatest asset of this universe. Life can end without them. If life were to end, the system of the universe would be destroyed. The majority of plants thrive on pollination and propagate. If the bees become extinct, the pollination process will stop and the plants will become extinct. Animals that live by eating these plants will also die. An entire food chain will be destroyed. The number of fruits and vegetables in our supermarkets will be halved. This means that the elimination of bees is our death. There are about 20,000 species of bees in the world. Bees are currently declining at an alarming rate, which is a very dangerous situation. There are many reasons for this situation.

Reasons For Extinction:

The reasons for their extinction are many. Some of the important ones are mentioned here.

1.Global Climate Change: Climate change has affected almost everything and we are the cause. This change has led to an increase in temperature, which is causing severe problems for bees. Rising temperature has led to a dramatic increase in heat, which is very harmful to bees. It is very difficult for them to prepare honey in extreme heat. Like other insects, they cannot migrate very quickly in the heat, so climatic change leads to their extinction.

2.Nutritional Deficiencies: There is a lot of work being done on malnutrition in the world right now. To make up for this shortfall, the same type of crop is grown on a large scale and there is no emphasis on cultivating different types of crops. The downside is that bees do not have the variety of crops they need to grow, which makes them malnourished. They are not able to meet their nutritional needs from a single crop, which is becoming a major cause of their demise.

3.Excessive Electricity Consumption: It would be amazing how power consumption is affecting bees. It is true that this has made a clear difference in their development. Power consumption is almost the same day and night. Excessive light at night has disturbed the bees’ rest so much that they are unable to sleep. Because of this, there is a big difference in their growth which can be a big reason for extinction.

4.Pesticides Utilization: The use of pesticides is causing the destruction of bees and other useful insects species. Some sprays are so toxic that they react immediately. The work of pesticides is to eliminate dangerous insects but it also eliminates environmentally friendly insects. The presence of bees is extremely beneficial to our ecosystem and their extinction will affect us all. Some insecticides cause up to 50% of the bee’s deaths.

Effects On Agriculture System:

Many types of plants and crops grow through pollination and this is made possible by bees. If pollination is not done on time, the risk of plant extinction will increase. Through pollination, bees contribute about 66% of the world’s crop growth and one-third to food. Some fruits and animal feeds have been mentioned which cannot be prepared without pollination.

1.Citrus Fruits: Pollination plays an important role in the preparation of Lemons, oranges, and Grapes This process is carried out by bees. If the bees become extinct, the world will lose these fruits.

2.Almonds: The role of the honeybees and bumblebees is very important in the preparation of almonds. The idea of producing almonds without them is a hoax.

3.Strawberry: These fruits also grow from the pollination of honeybees and bumblebees that meet our nutritional needs.

4.Animal Feeds: These feeds include products made from plants that grow through pollination.

(A)Poultry: Food for poultry is mostly made from maize, soya bean, peas, and cereals. All these plants supplement their nutrition through pollination.

(B)Livestock: The cattle also go for grazing but silage is also prepared to meet their nutritional needs. Its preparation includes soybean, peas, and alfalfa.

Conclusion:

The result of all this discussion is that life is impossible without bees. Their numbers are declining rapidly, which is worrying. The biggest reason for this is ourselves. The development of state-of-the-art sprays for agriculture does not consider the fact that harmful pests and eco-friendly pests are being eradicated. There is a need to develop drugs that do not affect bees and other environment-friendly insects. Extensive work is being done for the breeding of bees in the United States.
